Wedding cards created using images from Jems Designs

I have been a huge fan of Jems Designs for a long time now, their images are fantastic - so different to the 'norm' and the quality of the images is first class.
And so it is with a huge amount of pleasure that I accepted their invitation to join their Design Team as a sample maker. Thank you ladies for asking me, I feel like the cat who got the cream!!

All of the wedding cards below were created using images from an assortment of crafting cd roms from Jems Designs. They are all boxed and measure approx 8" x 8"

Created from the Eternal Matrimony paper pack available on their website.

These two Gay Wedding / Civil partnership cards above were created with images from the Jems Designs 'Blushing Brides' cd rom

This traditional Wedding card was created with images from the 'I Do' cd rom
also from Jems Designs

Simply White!

Hi there, it's been quite a while since my last blog update, mainly due to completing all my commissions so that I can make an albeit late start on my christmas cards.
My colour scheme for this years seasonal creations is white on white with just a hint of colour in the images and possibly toning / matching ribbon. So here are a couple of pix of the latest cards to emerge from my craftroom!!

This card is an 8" x 8" boxed christening card, definately my last commission for 2012
and this is the first christmas card for this year. The silver mirror card border looks grey in this photo as do the snowflakes, but the glitter definately twinkles!!

Card Recipe

White matt cardstock - Silver mirror card
Image from Jems Designs - 'A Wonderful Christmas' cd rom
Martha Stewart border punch - Small snowflake punch
Assorted cutting dies from Spellbinders
Provocraft snowflakes embossing folder

Thank you for stopping by.
Any comments will be very welcome.

Last orders!!

for commissions that is , with the exception of christmas cards!
I dont know about you, but no matter how early I start my christmas cards, I always seem to get 'caught out' at the last minute and rushing - last year I even bought a few for the people I'd overlooked!!
double gatefold anniversary card (closed position)

Well this year I decided to close my order book early for this year and have already made a couple of Yule cards for myself. But here is my last non crimbo commissioned card for 2012 - a double gatefold anniversary card. maybe flambuoyant and some may even think OTT but the old gentlemen who ordered this card likes 'em that way lol.

 In the open position

2 8" x 8" scalloped edged cards with sides folded back to create the double gatefold. Gold & white swirly card (Hunky dory) from stash layered with gold mirror card. The flourishes were made using a Cheery Lynn cutting die, the circles were made by using spellbinders cutting dies. Flowers are by Prima bought from Crafters Companion website (only £2 per pack)
Some maribou feathers, faux pearls and a couple of applique butterflies finish it off. I would welcome all comments or criticisms - hope you like it.

Thank you for stopping by. xxxx

Snowflakes are winter's kisses

I do like that phrase and first saw it on a digikit!!
Hi everyone, I had a lovely lady get in touch recently and she wanted a winter themed wedding card made, the colours of the event being ice blue and white. The spec was that as long as the card had snowflakes on it somewhere, she was happy to leave the rest up to me.
I love the bookatrix style of card for weddings, mainly I think because you cant buy this style in the shops and they are something different.
Anyway, the card is all from stash, white, silver and ice blue. 2nd & 3rd layers embossed with snowflake design folders and dusted with glitter. Large diamante sprays and silky flower are from hobbycraft.
Die cut hearts using spellbinders nestabilities and a cheery lynn flourish with ruched ribbon complete the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by, any comments left are greatly appreciated. xx

Heaven Scent

Good evening one and all - goodness me two posts in just a few hours!! My my, I must be making up for the past two weeks of silence! Anyway guys, here is the birthday card that I have created today from the images featured in the post below.
Very straight forward matting and layering using a swirly silver card and some coordinating backing papers from one of the digikits I used. As mentioned below the main picture is a hybrid of several digikits I bought on the worldwide web recently from here added a punched border (Martha Stewart) with black ruched ribbon and a black die cut flourish (Cheerylynn) oh yes and some added sparkle!!

Thank you for popping in, it was so nice to see you xxx
